ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ and DE were placed into the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative by the Governors of those states without the consent of the governed. Every month we are expected to reduce our carbon footprint from the same month in the previous year. June '09 was a cool and wet one, so energy consumption was low...June '10 was very hot and humid. Consumption increased and so did the price per kWh on my bill a whopping 35%...so not only did I pay for a larger number of kWh's, I paid more for each of them. My electric bill was $350.00. There are only 2 of us that live here, and I have never had such a high electric bill.

Every year, it is expected to force people to use less electricity than the previous year, because of this initiative. Most people don't realize what is going on unless they research it. RGGI money is used to do energy audits which gives them an opportunity to enter your home. I had one done for "FREE", but he never left my kitchen table. It was mostly an interview about my usage and the age of my appliances. He came equipped with all the CFL bulbs I could want to save the planet by poisoning it with mercury when they end up in the landfill.

The whole thing is a scam and we need to spread the word. The Feds aren't going to pass Cap and Trade, so the states get it whether they like it or not.Joanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10005348799210880300noreply@blogger.com
